On December 5, 2008, at approximately 12:00 p.m.
four males approached an elderly female soliciting to pave her
driveway, at a residence on Tayco
Dr. in Brooksville. The victim
denied the request and the subjects persisted, throwing gravel
down on the driveway, then advised the victim she owed them a
large sum of money. They also entered the elderly female’s
residence and attempted to convince her to call multiple banks
to obtain the money.
Suspects: Four white males. No further
information available.
Suspect Vehicles: Orange, yellow and
black dump truck towing a trailer with unknown equipment. Two
unknown white pick up trucks were also observed.
It appears this incident was part of a transient
or travelers criminal group. Report any suspicious
activity or similar incidents immediately to the Hernando County
Sheriff's Office.
