Brooksville Man Arrested for Possession of Child Sex Abuse Material

On 02-23-2026, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) received information in regards to the possession of Child Sex Abuse Material (CSAM). The information was later assigned to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office for further investigation. After investigation probable cause was established to support an arrest warrant for Jildardo Reofrio, DOB/02-25-1990.
On 05-27-2026, members of the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence on Inwood Circle in Brooksville. Upon executing the search warrant, contact was made with Reofrio who confirmed the phone number, e-mail address and username connected to the social media account containing the CSAM, advising it was his.
During execution of the search warrant, electronic devices were collected from the residence. A digital forensic analysis will be completed on these devices. This investigation is ongoing.
Reofrio was arrested and transported to the Hernando County Detention Center on the following charges:
- Possession of Child Pornography (2 Counts) NO BOND
- Unlawful use of a Two-Way Communication Device (1 Count) $5,000 BOND
Sheriff Al Nienhuis has a zero tolerance for possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material. Any and all tips are, and will be, meticulously investigated, no stone will be left unturned. Any person who possesses material of this nature will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
