Vice and Narcotics Search Warrant - 1554 Overland Drive

On 06-4-2026, detectives with the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Unit executed a court-authorized search warrant at a residence located at 1554 Overland Drive in Spring Hill as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.

The investigation revealed that Elizabeth Ashley Marie Almond DOB 12-12-1984, was involved in the sale of fentanyl from the residence. Upon arriving to execute the search warrant, detectives located Almond in the garage area of the residence and took her into custody without incident.

During an interview, Almond admitted to possessing various illegal narcotics inside the residence, including approximately one ounce of fentanyl. She also acknowledged the presence of multiple firearms despite being prohibited from possessing them due to her status as a convicted felon.

A subsequent search of the residence resulted in the seizure of numerous controlled substances and firearms, including:

• 27 grams of fentanyl
• 164.3 grams of methamphetamine, consisting of both crystal-like and liquid forms
• 375.1 grams of THC-infused gummies
• 34.1 grams of marijuana
• 12.8 grams of cocaine
• 5.0 grams of MDMA (Ecstasy)
• One oxycodone pill
• Multiple Cyclobenzaprine pills for which Almond did not possess a valid prescription
• Four firearms located in Almond’s bedroom

Based on the evidence recovered during the search warrant and prior undercover narcotics investigations, Almond was arrested and transported to the Hernando County Detention Center.

Almond was charged with the following offenses:

• Trafficking in Fentanyl
• Trafficking in Methamphetamine
• Sale of Fentanyl (2 counts)
• Possession of Fentanyl with Intent to Sell (2 counts)
• Possession of Hashish
• Possession of MDMA
• Possession of Marijuana Over 20 Grams
• Possession of Cocaine
• Possession of Oxycodone
• Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
• Possession of a New Legend Drug
• Maintaining a Structure for the Sale/Trafficking of a Controlled Substance (3 counts)
• Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communication Device (2 counts)
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (3 counts)

Due to the trafficking charges, Almond was initially held without bond.
