E-messaging

SmartInmate™ offers a secure two-way electronic messaging platform tailored for communication between incarcerated individuals and their loved ones outside of correctional facilities. This system enables quick and safe exchanges of messages through computer kiosks or tablets located in the housing units of inmates. Each message costs only 50 cents, making it a more affordable option than traditional postage stamps.

Messages can be sent with prepaid postage, allowing recipients to open and read them for free, or they can be sent collect (COD) at no cost to the sender, with the recipient covering the cost. To participate in this messaging process, it is essential to create a SmartInmate™ account, which can be set up easily by following the outlined steps at: www.smartinmate.com

Photos

SmartInmate™ provides a one-way photo delivery service that allows you to share those special moments with a friend or family member who is incarcerated or detained. Each photo costs just $1 to send, and the recipient can view the photo on their kiosk or tablet as many times as they like. To send a photo, you MUST open a SmartInmate™ account. The process is quick and easy—just follow the simple steps at www.smartinmate.com.

Please note that each photo is subject to review by facility staff, who may accept or reject the photo at their discretion. If a photo is rejected, your credits will be refunded, and you'll have the opportunity to send a different photo. Electronic photos are delivered much more quickly than those sent through traditional postal mail, and there's no limit on the number of photos an incarcerated individual can receive electronically.
