SECONDS COUNT IN AN EMERGENCY

Code RED

The Hernando County Sheriff's Office will now be able to notify you about emergency situations faster than ever before.

CodeRED is a state-of-the-art voice messaging system that the Sheriff's Office and other County authorities will use to alert residents about local criminal activity, homeland security issues, missing children or adults, evacuation orders, and other situations that require immediate dissemination of crucial information.

The CodeRED system can deliver a recorded message to 60,000 residents in an hour, and can even target specific geographic areas.

The CodeRED dialing system attempts each telephone number up to 3 times. It will even leave a message on your answering machine!

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP?

Most Hernando County residential telephone numbers are already in our database, but you can make sure we have yours by clicking below to visit the CodeRED website and entering the information requested.
