Public Fingerprinting Services
Hernando County Residents Only
Public fingerprinting for concealed weapon permits, employment, licensing, gun purchases, expungements and other purposes is available by appointment only.
Due to demand, we can no longer provide this service to non-Hernando County residents.
In an effort to provide the most efficient customer service and minimize lengthy wait times,
the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office has implemented a scheduling system for fingerprinting services.
As always, fingerprinting services are provided at no charge but are for Hernando County residents only.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement does charge to conduct the background check.
Refer to FDLE’s background check fee schedule here.
